We have made some small changes to Dine and Sail allow all guests to feel comfortable and these changes will stay in effect for the foreseeable future. The biggest change is that we now offer “own the boat” ... instead of the (really fun) chance of meeting new friends aboard when booking reservations for a smaller party, we now reserve by party; up to 6 guests for one set price. This allows guests to relax and enjoy the trip knowing they are aboard only with others they know and feel safe with.
That being said - we are thoroughly looking forward to welcoming you aboard soon.
Wheredoyoudepart?
Dock "A" at the New Rochelle Marina, just look for the fat white sailboat CAMELOT just left of the bottom of the gang plank. This great location allows us to leave the dock and be out on the beautiful Long Island Sound within minutes.
Whatkindoffoodcan Iexpect?
We will dine you from the moment you step aboard until we return to the dock. We start with a variety of appetizers before we leave the dock and then serve a complete meal while anchored right in Echo Bay. The meal is prepared with your party in mind and will include a salad such as green salad with sunflower seeds and tarragon or basil with strawberries and prosciutto, a main course like fennel roasted chicken breast and garlic shrimp or cooked to order salmon with green peppercorn sauce. Sides such as potato and carrot mash or roasted vegetables will complete the dish. And we serve dessert when we return to the dock which may include chocolate or strawberry mousse cake with raspberry coulis or puff pastry with ice cream and drizzled with belgium chocolate. And don't forget to ask Chef Luc about his experience cooking for Queen Elizabeth and Pope John Paul.
Please advise of any food restrictions we should be aware of.
I love steak! Can I request the chef to prepare this for me?
Let us know if you have a special meal request; Chef is always up for something new! Any added cost will be agreed upon before final confirmation and will apply to all passengers.
Isthereabathroomaboard?
Yes - two! And don't forget to take a peek at our bathtub - a rarity on a sailboat. Access to the facilities is by a small staircase. You are also welcome to utilize the marina restroom facilities located at the top of dock A.
Can I bring drinks?
Yes, please bring whatever beverages you and your companions enjoy...we'll supply the ice.
Can I get married aboard the Camelot?
Yes! Kathryn is an ordained minister with the Church of Universal Life and as such, has the qualifications to legally preform weddings. We've hosted several weddings on Camelot and each was completely unique. Give us a call, let's discuss how we can make your special day everything you've dreamed of.
Will I have an issue with seasickness?
Camelot has a full keel which makes her more stable than most boats. And she weighs over 42,000 pounds which means the boat sits very solid in the water, so no worries, we've never had a guest not completely enjoy the experience.
Are children allowed?
Absolutely. Please keep in mind that though the Camelot has, by sailboat standards, a large cockpit at 12 by 9 feet including seating. This is not a large space and as such, our cruise is not appropriate for children under 5 years old . While we promote moving around the boat and sitting at the bow, all children must be accompanied at all times by a adult when out of the cockpit. Children under 13 years of age are required to wear a life jacket while aboard which we can provide. Is there a dress code?
No, wear whatever makes you most comfortable. You are welcome to remove your shoes to walk around the boat and may consider bringing a light sweater as the air may feel fresher and cooler on the water.
Do you require a deposit?
We require a credit card to hold the reservations. You are welcome to pay by Venmo, Zelle, credit card or cash on the day of the cruise. Please cancel reservations at least 72 hours in advance or a 20% cancellation fee will apply.
Are there photo opportunities?
So many! Take a picture of the delicious food, the beautiful scenery, your shipmates or even a photo with your arms stretched out on the bow like in Titantic...you know you want to.
Do you offer Gift Certificates?
Be a superstar and purchase a gift certificate for anyone from teachers to co-workers to sisters. All Gift Certificates are good for the one year from the date of issuance, non-transferable, non refundable and reservations are based on availability at the time of booking. We will forward a personalized, printable certificate to you or your guests and the happy participants just need to contact us to make the reservation. A win- win situation for all.
Due to our closure in 2024, all Gift Certificates valid for the 2024 season can be used for our 2025 cruises.
What if the weather is bad?
We always keep a close eye on the weather. If for safety reasons we decide to cancel a cruise, we will contact you at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled sail and discuss rescheduling options. On the off chance the Captain decides to return early to port due to safety concerns, you may chose to disembark and return at a later date or stay onboard and continue to enjoy the cruise along with the meal.
What is the cancellation policy?
If it necessary to cancel a cruise, be it weather or an other safety related issue, is cancelled by Dine and Sail, we will discuss rescheduling options. Please note that it is the Captain who makes this decision - if you opt to cancel or reschedule of your own accord, a rescheduling or cancellation fee may apply. Please cancel reservations at least 72 hours in advance or a 20% cancellation fee will apply.
